Latest Centre News

from Nicholas Haines

As some of you may already know, I have been looking at different ways for the Centre to continue after I fully retire from running it.

After exploring lots of options I am really pleased to say that the owners of The Bay Therapy Centre in West Bridgford – who were looking to expand- have agreed to take over the ownership and the running of the Centre.

Mark Buckingham who owns the Bay Centre is really enthusiastic about the new venture and has great plans afoot to refurbish and refresh the Centre. Although the Centre building is much loved it was getting a bit tired or very tired in some places, and in need of some updates. So I am sure his plans will be met with approval.

As you can imagine the Centre staff and practitioners have been wonderful, and are helping to make this a smooth transition. Recognising though this is a big transition, and for many of us, myself included, it’s an end of a big and much loved phase in our lives.

So although this next phase is a necessary and normal evolution, and we’ve found an ideal solution, it’s a mixed time with both happy and sad feelings running along side each other.

I will step down on 1st of September, with the new owners taking over at that time. As far as I am aware they will stay open for a few weeks and then start the major renovations in the main building. These should last for about 4-5 weeks. The meeting hall will stay open, and various practitioners will be working around that.

As some of these arrangements are in the air, ask your Practitioner for more details. As these arrangements are personal to them, they are better to ask than anyone on reception.

Some of the reception staff, like me, are taking this opportunity to step down from their roles, while others are making arrangements to stay with you. Again some of that is in the air so bear with us on that.

We will be having a lovely celebration towards the end of August, which you are all invited to – details to follow.

I’d like to end by thanking you for being part of the Centre and for making it the wonderful place it is. I hope that you’ll continue to come, enjoy the new fresh look and feel, and remain a part of what has been created by everyone.
